frequently asked questions
can i pick the colors for the painting?
Of course! You will get to decide as much or as little as you want
about how the painting will look.
will i be able to see the painting before it is finished?
I prefer to keep the work in progress to myself so that the finished
product is a surprise. I will, however offer optional emailed
photographs of the finished product as a final proof before shipping
the painting to you. Keep in mind that photographs of the painting
will vary slightly from the actual portrait.
what if my pet does not have fur or four legs?
As the owner of three turtles and a tortoise, I welcome the
opportunity to paint pets of all kinds: birds, reptiles, fish,
hermit crabs…
i
know my mom would love a portrait of her dog but i want to surprise
her with a portrait for her birthday. how can i do that?
If you can get me photographs of their pets I would be happy to do
gift portraits. Another option would be to buy them a gift
certificate. That way they would have the opportunity to choose
colors and other details of the portrait.

information about gift certificates.
how long will i have to wait for my portrait to be finished?
I am usually booked about 2-3 months in advance.
Holidays fill up quickly so order early! Your deposit (50% of
the payment) is required to secure your desired completion date
as well as timely delivery of usable reference photos. Once I
start on your painting, it will be shipped within 2-4 weeks.
can you ship my portrait to me?
Of course! All paintings are shipped via USPS Priority
Mail (2-3 day delivery) with insurance for their value and
delivery confirmation. Overnight delivery is available upon
request for an additional fee.
do
you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates make great gifts when you are
unable to get a photo of the pet without ruining the surprise for
the owner, or when you don't have time to commission a portrait
before the special occasion! Gift certificates are available in any
amount and are valid one year from their date of issue. |
